The improper construction of the polymer-cement waterproof coating, acrylic waterproof coating, and polyurethane waterproof coating can easily lead to defects in the deep layer, and the preventive measures should be repeated.

1, the film produces air holes or bubbles: caused by the stirring method and stirring time is not good, should adjust the stirring speed, stirring time is appropriate 2-5min.

2. Pay attention to grassroots processing, the grassroots must be smooth, solid, clean, and there must be no floating sand or dust.

3, polyurethane waterproof coating film in the reaction process to produce CO, gas, each coating is too thick and other reasons, can make the coating produce air holes or bubbles, the formation of weak parts of the leakage of water. Therefore, the coating thickness should be strictly controlled during construction.

Second, waterproof coating types

1. Polymer-cement waterproof coating. It is a kind of volatilization-curing coating, which is mainly divided into two types: Type I, with polymer emulsion as the main component, adding a small amount of inorganic active powder, and curing to form a flexible coating, which can be applied to the water surface as a waterproof layer; Type II, mainly inorganic active powder such as mud, adding a certain amount of polymer emulsion coating, cured to form an elastic cement coating, can be applied to the water surface and the back surface waterproof construction.

2, acrylic waterproof coating. It is a volatilization-curable coating and has good weather resistance. It is suitable for waterproof construction of exposed, non-exposed areas and water-facing surfaces. Water-emulsion color acrylic waterproof coating has both decorative functions and is suitable for waterproofing and decoration of roofs and walls. The polymer-cement waterproof coating and the water-emulsion colored acrylic waterproof coating can be applied on the surface of wet (non-clear water) or dry base layer. Water-based paints with a water resistance of less than 80% shall not be used for waterproofing of long-term soaking water in basements.

3, polyurethane series coatings. It is a reaction-curing coating, with good overall performance, high strength, high elongation, good elasticity, and good adhesion and sealing performance. One-component polyurethane coatings rely on the absorption of air and the moisture of the base layer and the action of the catalyst. They can be applied on the surfaces of wet or dry bases. When multi-component polyurethane coatings are applied, they must be prepared on site and should be applied to the surface of dry bases. Application of polyurethane waterproof coating must pay attention to choose low toxicity or non-toxic solvents and strictly limit the amount of use, reduce the impact on the atmospheric environment and the impact on personal safety Polyurethane waterproof coating should be applied in non-exposed waterproof engineering.

4, cement-based penetrating crystalline waterproof coating. It is a rigid waterproof coating material consisting of Portland cement, ordinary Portland cement, quartz sand, etc., which is made of active chemical substances. The active chemical substances contained in the material penetrate into the concrete as water. Forms water-insoluble dendritic crystals in the concrete, filling the capillary channels, making the concrete dense and waterproof. This type of paint can be used for waterproof surface on the water side and waterproof construction on the back surface. It is suitable for construction on the wet base surface.
